Collin's love of music began at the tender
age of zero, when, as a baby,he was constantly bombarded with the sounds of
Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Black Sabbath, The Who, Cream, and the like. From
the time he could talk, he was singing along with all of his favorites. At
the age of 12, he received his first guitar, and with a need to be different,
as well as a strange twist of fate, he bought his first bass guitar, at the
age of 15, from a man who had lost his fingers in a freak mowing accident.
He had found his calling. Since that time, he has strived to be the best and
most unusual bassist he could be, taking an instrument from the back of the
band, and throwing it right in your face. After a 3 year hiatus from Dog D'Jour,
Collin has regrouped with his former DDJ partners to form Red River Ambush,
all three's most ambitious musical project to date. Collin plays Schecter
Custom Diamond Series 5 string basses through Hartke amps for recording, as
well as a 1972 Kustom amp through Hartke cabinets for live performances. Collin
also uses a Dunlop Bass Wah, D.O.D. Octoplus and Flanger, and a DigiTech Envelope
Filter.
Collin is known to like Jagermeister.......
